Greetings from the New 4RMations Team!
A few quick updates…
1. Our website, www.new4rmations.com, is finally complete. If you haven’t, please check it out. We’re also looking for people to write blog articles. If you are interested in sharing your thoughts on the masculine journey with our community, please contact us.
2. We’ve applied for federal exemption as a religious organization with the IRS under sections 26 USC §509(a)(2) and 26 USC §170(b)(1)(A)(vi). After receiving our Federal Determination Letter and being listed on Publication 78, our status will be retroactive back to the date of our incorporation. As a properly organized non-profit corporation we are permitted to receive donations, and to issue charitable giving statements to our donors. Would you consider supporting our ministry at www.new4rmations.com/give?
We certainly appreciate your prayers in all of these matters, as well as your continued promotion and participation.
Please see below about some of our upcoming events over the next few months.
Thanks and peace,
The New 4RMations Team
Men’s Upstate, SC Bonfire with Special Guest, Pablo Giacopelli
March 18, 2016 from 6pm-9pm
Men’s Upstate, SC Bonfires offer a theme or demonstration, food, casual conversation, and a teaching on the masculine journey. Our goal during these events is to provide a safe and unique environment for men to build lasting and genuine relationships with other like-minded men in the area.
Tonight’s Meal: TBD
Tonights Demonstration: Jim Sharpe will be demonstrating The 10 Essentials of Hiking.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather (rain or shine), bring a lawn chair, and a friend (have them register too).
Pre-registration: Because of the nature of this event, and likely a very large crowd, we are asking everyone to pre-register here. For this bonfire, we are asking $20 to cover the cost of the event (food, drinks, an offering for Pablo, etc)*, more if you can, less if you can’t; we don’t want money to stop anyone from coming.
*All New 4RMations Bonfires are alcohol-free events.
Spring Adventure: Fishing The Tuckaseegee
April 8-10, 2016 in Sylva, NC
Act now! Only 1 spot left!
Come fish with us on the Tuckaseegee River in the mountains of western North Carolina (Sylva, NC) for our 2016 Spring Adventure on April 8-10, 2016. This is a great place to relax, unwind and restore your heart. Turn off your cell phone and get back in touch with the wild.
This is the fishing trip to end all fishing trips! We have reserved several cabins feet away from the river, which will have been recently loaded with two truckloads of Rainbow, Brown and Brook trout courtesy of NCWRC.
Friday PM, Saturday all day and Sunday until you can’t fish anymore. We will even cook for you, all meals included (except dinner out one night).
These are nice cabins with big porches and a fire pit right out front where we gather each evening for fire time, fellowship, and reflection on the masculine journey. This will be one of those trips you look back to as a milestone in your life’s journey, as you discover what it means to have An Adventure to Live, our theme for the weekend.
Fishing experience not necessary, just let us know and we will help you out with gear and instruction!
Cost is $275, but there is an early-bird price of $225 if you register and make full or partial payment before 2/15/16. You will be responsible for the purchase of your own NC fishing license.
See What Others Have Said About This Event:
This was a great men’s weekend adventure. The trip was well organized with a relaxed environment that fostered open and honest discussion regarding God and how we see ourselves in our relationship with him. Charlie also challenged each of us to look inside ourselves with some very interesting questions which opened up the group and enabled us to have some great discussions. The weekend was very enjoyable and well worth the time.” – Steve Bratt, Gaffney, SC
