When Tim first read Wild at Heart, it was transformational. Being able to seek after God in the wilderness revived his spiritual life and created a new understanding of his time outdoors. When he discovered he could minister to men while fishing in a river, he came alive.
Tim spent several years volunteering and participating in various outdoor, adventure-based ministries while hoping for the opportunity to create one in South Carolina’s upstate area. Eventually, God connected Tim with Charlie Vensel. Together, they co-founded New 4RMations in 2015. In many ways, this was the fulfillment of what God had been preparing Tim for his whole life.
Tim earned a BA in Biblical Studies from North Greenville University. Being a lifelong entrepreneur, he owns a small business working outside with stone, landscaping and design. He is known by his peers as TimTheRockMan.

As a young Christian in his early 20’s, Alan’s brother encouraged him to attend a Men’s group at the church Alan and his wife joined back in 2004. The men’s group “happened” to be changing course at the time and was starting a new Bible study based on the book Wild at Heart. Alan’s life changed after reading that book and experiencing community with a group of men pursuing God.
Losing his father to cancer as a two year-old left Alan with questions that he didn’t start asking until he became a young man. Wild At Heart provided the guidance Alan needed to meet God as Father, who offered the true answers to his questions. Meeting God the Father led Alan to seek fathering by many men, including the men of New 4RMations. Alan is excited to be involved with New 4RMations to grow as a Son and help other men in their journey.
Alan is full-time pastor of his family at their home in Blue Ridge, SC. He and his wife, Angie, have five children: Abbie, Anna, Alana, Al and Augustus. They are members of Bridgeway Church in Greenville, SC. Alan is employed by Greenville Water as an Engineering Technician, involved in water main construction projects. Alan enjoys being a husband and a father, reading, finding a good song or a podcast to listen to, watching pro wrestling, and spending some free-time outdoors, always wanting to learn a little bit about hunting, fishing & farming.
You can learn more about Alan’s heart on his podcast, Rasslin’ with God.
